This Month’s Top Moments
The Real Housewives of Potomac is finally here! At first, I was skeptical, but then I started watching it and I can’t get enough. Gizelle was my favorite until she started being mean to Ashley. Ashely is hilarious and reminds me so much of myself, so that’s probably why I like her. Katie is also really funny in the most awkward, openly money-hungry way. I don’t really know why Karen and Charrisse are on the show, but it was great to see Charrisse’s more vulnerable side when she opened up about the current state of her marriage. And Robyn could definitely be my friend in my head (cc: Wendy Williams)!
I was a TV Host at AMCONYC’s 3-day showcase during New York Fashion Week (I know… I’ve definitely mentioned this before), but I want you guys to know that my full diary entry is coming soon! In the meantime, I’ve put together an album on my NEW Facebook page and checkout out this preview featuring my snapchats (Natsnbolts).
I’ve had some really incredible experiences over the past couple months and I’ve been thinking about where I am in my blogging and hosting career. I’ve been working really hard and really trying to put myself out there and it’s great to see it pay off. I have always hated uncertainty, but I’m learning to be more comfortable with not knowing what the future holds and to just enjoy the ride!
The All Def Movie Awards – In case you haven’t heard, Russel Simmons is celebrating black excellence in the face of #OscarsSoWhite. The ceremony had all of the standard award categories (Best Actress, Best Director, etc.) AND a few hilarious ones for good measure (Best Bad Muh F**ka, Most Helpful White Person, and Best Black Survivor). The All Def Movie Awards took place on the 24th and will be airing on Fusion’s cable network (and online) during the Oscar’s tonight at 7 PM! I will definitely be watching – Chris Rock’s brother, Tony Rock, will be the host. Stay tuned for my recap!
A Little Luxury
Eataly New York has the best desserts (amongst other incredibly delicious things like CHEESE) and they are gluten-free friendly! I love wandering around and looking at all of the cheese… and prosciutto… and pesto *sigh*
Carbone is on my never-ending list of places to try. I’ve heard the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka is to die for! They are also opening up a new location in Las Vegas and they are a part of the same restaurant group as Sadelle’s and Parm.
I went to Cull & Pistol last summer and I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned it until now! I had my first oysters there and they were delicious! It’s very cozy and the waiters are super nice. I split the Whole 1 1/2 lb. North Atlantic Lobster with a friend and had a side of fries!
For the Weekend
The Life of Pablo is finally here and if you haven’t listened you NEED to! Check it out here and watch Yeezy Season 3 while you’re at it.
I’ll be attending Bella NYC Magazine’s Ladies Night Out with Kristin Cavallari in a few weeks. I also have a few more top secret things in the works including another collab with Valentia, so keep checking back!
