Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask & Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum

I’ve tried several Valentia products and these two are among my personal favorites. The Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask is perfect for preventing and healing summer breakouts. I’ve been using it a few times a week and it has helped tremendously. If you (occasionally) skip washing your face before bed, use this first thing in the morning for an extra deep cleanse. Otherwise, use it before bed two to three times a night. It doesn’t dry your skin out and the little exfoliating beads are quite gentle. My skin gets super oily during the summer time – particularly in my T-zone – and this has really balanced my skin out. The Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum feels incredible on the skin. It’s lightweight and perfect for when you’re skin needs and extra boost. I like to use it at night, right after I cleanse and tone. It’s great at reducing dark spots and scars and adds some extra hydration to your routine. I don’t use it every night, just as needed. Remember to use products in a way …

Get Smooth Skin for Spring with Derma E

Say hello to Spring with smooth skin thanks to Derma E! I’ve been testing out their newest line of products designed specially for people with eczema and/or psoriasis – and I’m here to tell you it works! Keep reading for details on an exciting giveaway! I’ve had eczema my entire life and finding a way to manage it has been difficult because I am not particularly fond of medication. As a kid, I had it on my elbows. It vanished for a few years and now I get flare-ups on my right hand which can be kind of embarrassing when I’m shaking hands with someone or holding a microphone. I am very cautious when it comes to what I put in or on my body. Thankfully companies like Derma E are making products that are safe for everyone! The Psorzma line is a collection of powerful, plant powered non-prescriptions that are very gentle and effective. The Scalp Relief Shampoo has a mild tea tree oil scent and is incredibly soothing on the scalp. It’s particularly …

Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum

No one loves a good spa day as much as I do, so why not make everyday spa day! I was so happy to get Valentia’s NEW Royal Rose Hydrating Serum in the mail. I’ve always wanted to try a serum but never knew which one to pick. Designed specially for sensitive skin, the Royal Rose Hydrating Serum provides lightweight moisture and works to smooth your skin and boost its radiance! I have super dry skin and always have to apply moisturizer twice to get the full effect, but not with this serum (let’s just say I’ve saved a lot of moisturizer). It smells heavenly and the ingredient list is to die for. Bearberry and Vitamin B work to reduce age spots, scars, and hyperpigmentation, while Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Rosa Damascena provide your skin with light moisture that leaves your skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. I use the serum EVERY night, right after I apply my toner, and then use Valentia’s True Glow Eye Cream. After a particularly grueling day, I …

Valentia X Beauty Bolt

New York Winters can be really harsh, especially when you have super sensitive, dry skin like me. NYFW is also fast approaching, and I need all of the help that I can get considering I will be in front of the camera. Luckily my friends over at Valentia heard my silent cries for help and sent me a few products to try out. Inspired by the Roman goddess of healing, Valentia seeks to provide it’s customers with natural and organic products that protect and repair the skin. Rosehip seed oil is one of my all time favorite ingredients (thank you Miranda Kerr) and the fact that Valentia includes it in their products just goes to show how knowledgable they are about the power of natural ingredients. Here are a few facts about Rosehip seed oil: It’s non-greasy and very light, so it’s safe for oily skin and can even help balance out your skin’s oil production It is the only plant oil that contains Retinol A, which means it’s a great anti-aging product (and basically nature’s …

New Summer Skin Care Routine!

Cruel summer doesn’t even begin to describe what my skin has been going through during this hot, humid yet magnificent time of year. During the summer time, my t-zone becomes oily, acne prone, and the pores around my nose get huge – a big change from my normally dry, sensitive skin. I like to keep my skin care routine pretty simple and I try to stick to natural products as much as possible. AM Routine STEP 1 – Cleanse: The first step in any great skin care routine is to cleanse, cleanse, cleanse! I’ve been a huge fan of Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser for years because it’s always done a great job at cleansing my skin without leaving it feeling stripped. However, when it’s humid, my t-zone gets extremely oily and I need something a little stronger that won’t dry out or irritate my skin. I’ve been using Burt’s Bees Natural Acne Solutions Purifying Gel Cleanser for the past couple weeks and it has done a great job at cleansing my skin and getting rid …

Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil

Beauty Bolts: ϟϟϟϟ Kahina Giving Beauty‘s Argan Oil is a tiny homage to minimalism – everything from the packaging to the ingredients (100% pure Argan oil) is so simple, stylish, and sleek! I absolutely adore this product, and I’ve been using it almost everyday since October. I was looking for something that would both sooth and moisturize my dry, sensitive skin and something that would also add a subtle glow. The Good: I’ve been using 1-2 drops twice a day almost everyday on my décolletage and face (sweep up from the base of the throat and then smooth upwards starting at the chin) and still haven’t run out. I really like that it keeps my skin looking dewy and fresh all day, and never oily. My face is literally as smooth as baby’s bottom! The Not So Good: I’m not particularly a fan of the scent, it smells a little bit like sesame oil, but it fades pretty quickly. I wouldn’t recommend this product for dry skin during the winter. I’d suggest adding a drop to a …
