#ChantelJeffriesExposesJustinParty… But Not Really

Ladies, always keep your receipts. No, not the ones from the grocery store. I’m talking about his nudes (if you’re into that sort of thing). Side note: Don’t take nudes, but if you do keep your partner’s as insurance. If you haven’t heard, Chantel Jeffries’ phone was hacked resulting in some interesting press for Justin. The hacker generously shared a nude photo of Justin with the world and tagged Selena Gomez on J.Bieb’s penis. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE MOMENT#BB18 pic.twitter.com/dCFRyDIInC — Michelle Meyer #BB18 (@MichelleMeyerBB) August 19, 2016 Why CeeJay one might ask? Actually, who is CeeJay? Chantel Jeffries is GOAT. She’s a dj with a fire mixtape. A girl whose highlight is on 100 Watts and who just wants the damn AUX chord. She also went out with Justin Bieber (allegedly) and was in the car with him back in two-thousand-whatever when he got pulled over for speeding in Miami. Peep Chantz and Biebs below. I guess people are really upset with Justin because he deleted his Instagram, so why not hack his ex’s Instagram …

The – ϟ – Bolt A monthly curation of fabulous finds and personal favorites! This Month’s Top Moments Bella NYC Magazine I went to Bella NYC Magazine’s cover party for Kristin Cavallari! The theme was Ladies Night Out and they had the cutest little gift bags, a sketch artist, champagne, and plenty of fun conversation about Kristin’s new book Balancing in Heels. It was a beautiful event – be sure to check out more pictures here! I felt super comfortable and chic in my dress from Be Jealous! #NotAModel  I had a super fun photoshoot in Central Park with Charles Roberts Pictures, and I can’t wait to share the rest of the pictures with all of you! What I’m… Thinking About I had so much fun this past month and can’t wait for what’s to come. I tried a lot of new restaurants and have been sharpening my photography skills. I spent lots of time with the people that I love and read some really interesting books. I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress in the past …

The All Def Movie Awards

One word. Hilarious. The All Def Movie Awards were so funny and candid. Actors and actresses were quite honest about the lack of diversity in Hollywood and spent the evening laughing and exchanging kind words. Tony Rock (yes, Chris Rock’s brother) hit on Sanaa Lathan, using all of her movie titles as pick up lines. Amber Rose won the award for Most Likely to Steal your Girl, and Robin Thicke accepted the award for Most Helpful White Person on behalf of Christopher Waltz saying, “We can change the world one helpful white person at a time.” A digital short called “Cassius Luther Shaka-Kahn” was also featured – parodying every Hollywood movie about slavery, ever. As Sanaa Lathan said, “Hopefully, Hollywood will wake the f*ck up.” Russel Simmons also spoke on the issues of diversity and said that black productions should include more white actors to create more partnerships, but also affirmed that the majority of the problem is still with white Hollywood’s control over whose stories are worth telling and how they should be told. Simmons also …

The 88th Academy Awards // The Oscars

The 88th Academy Awards (The Oscars) took place last night and I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite looks. Click through to get a glimpse!   Chris Rock’s opening monologue was something to remember (watch it here). I personally thought he kind of went overboard, especially in his criticism of Jada Pinkett-Smith in saying that she was boycotting the Oscars because of her husband’s snub. In my opinion, Jada’s boycotting should be commended because her message is much larger than a personal issue and she has every right to speak to the issue of representations of black people (and other people of color) in media. Rock also spoke to Hollywood’s racism, describing writers, producers, etc. as “Sorority Racist” – meaning that if Hollywood were a Sorority, the excuse for not accepting people of color would be, “We like you, Wanda, but you’re not a Kappa.” Other highlights included Chris’s comment on Rocky being a science-fiction movie because it takes place in a world where white athletes are as good as black athletes; …

The – ϟ – Bolt A monthly curation of fabulous finds and personal favorites! This Month’s Top Moments TV The Real Housewives of Potomac is finally here! At first, I was skeptical, but then I started watching it and I can’t get enough. Gizelle was my favorite until she started being mean to Ashley. Ashely is hilarious and reminds me so much of myself, so that’s probably why I like her. Katie is also really funny in the most awkward, openly money-hungry way. I don’t really know why Karen and Charrisse are on the show, but it was great to see Charrisse’s more vulnerable side when she opened up about the current state of her marriage. And Robyn could definitely be my friend in my head (cc: Wendy Williams)! NYFW I was a TV Host at AMCONYC’s 3-day showcase during New York Fashion Week (I know… I’ve definitely mentioned this before), but I want you guys to know that my full diary entry is coming soon! In the meantime, I’ve put together an album on my NEW …

They’ll be showcasing the most talented emerging designers from around the world at Studio 450 from February 16th to the 18th! Get your tickets here. What I’m… Thinking About #OscarsSoWhite – The recent nominations for this year’s Academy Awards, though not surprising, have left some of Hollywood’s most gifted actors and actresses quite unsettled. For the second year in a row, #OscarsSoWhite is trending on Twitter. The hashtag was created by April Reign of BroadwayBlack.com to raise awareness of the Academy’s propensity for ignoring the work of people of color in the entertainment industry. This year’s most shocking snubs – Will Smith and NWA: Straight Out of Compton. Jada Pinkett Smith and …

How Blac Chyna Sent #Waves Through #Kalabasas… And Then got Arrested

Almost every time I see a new Kardashian related headline I think it isn’t true – but then it always is! Whether you like to admit it or not, we all keep up – especially during a “krazy” week like this one. It all started with Kanye’s studio session on Monday and went downhill from there. The short version. Kanye starts feeling #wavy. Rob Kardashian moves in with Blac Chyna because she also makes him feel #wavy. Kris Jenner calls in a few favors and has Chyna (also known as Angela White) arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct – but that’s just a theory. So happy to be finished with the best album of all time pic.twitter.com/JBWa8OWvqw — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) January 25, 2016 The truth (as we know it). Kanye tweeted his track list on Monday with a small addendum by Kylie Jenner. Kanye also announced that #Swish is no longer and that his forthcoming album will be titled Waves. Wiz Khalifa didn’t exactly agree with this, and I can’t blame him because there’s …

The – ϟ – Bolt A monthly curation of fabulous finds and personal favorites! This Week’s Top Moments NYFW Givenchy decided to come stateside for fashion week this year, showcasing a beautiful collection with views of the sun setting over New York City as a backdrop! Kanye also decided to surprise everyone with his second show, Yeezy Season 2. The line was inspired by Vanessa Beecroft’s performance art and is inline with Kanye’s casual, cool, neutral style. Micah Not Found: A Millenial Pop Artist

Fine Art meets Pop Culture on @Micahnotfound – an Instagram page that acts as an interactive timeline, documenting all things pop culture from rap beefs to movie premiers and everything in between. The magnificent ode to pop culture was created by Micah Milner, painter turned graphic designer, who is a part of the art collective (or artup – as he calls it) Art 404. Micah is the graphic designer, but he also works with a team of web artists – partnering with Manual, the companies branding machine, and Moises, a conceptual artist who is also in charge of production. Their work has been featured in Complex Magazine, Yahoo, BuzzFeed, and Vice, just to name a few. I got a chance to chat with Micah about his process, his inspiration, and how he creates commercial art without compromising the integrity of his work. Micah samples his work in a similar fashion to musicians – overworking existing images to make them his own and incorporating them in a much larger “almanac of [events] to create a multifaceted  experience.” Timing is …
