Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum

No one loves a good spa day as much as I do, so why not make everyday spa day! I was so happy to get Valentia’s NEW Royal Rose Hydrating Serum in the mail. I’ve always wanted to try a serum but never knew which one to pick. Designed specially for sensitive skin, the Royal Rose Hydrating Serum provides lightweight moisture and works to smooth your skin and boost its radiance! I have super dry skin and always have to apply moisturizer twice to get the full effect, but not with this serum (let’s just say I’ve saved a lot of moisturizer). It smells heavenly and the ingredient list is to die for. Bearberry and Vitamin B work to reduce age spots, scars, and hyperpigmentation, while Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Rosa Damascena provide your skin with light moisture that leaves your skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. I use the serum EVERY night, right after I apply my toner, and then use Valentia’s True Glow Eye Cream. After a particularly grueling day, I …

Valentia X Beauty Bolt

New York Winters can be really harsh, especially when you have super sensitive, dry skin like me. NYFW is also fast approaching, and I need all of the help that I can get considering I will be in front of the camera. Luckily my friends over at Valentia heard my silent cries for help and sent me a few products to try out. Inspired by the Roman goddess of healing, Valentia seeks to provide it’s customers with natural and organic products that protect and repair the skin. Rosehip seed oil is one of my all time favorite ingredients (thank you Miranda Kerr) and the fact that Valentia includes it in their products just goes to show how knowledgable they are about the power of natural ingredients. Here are a few facts about Rosehip seed oil: It’s non-greasy and very light, so it’s safe for oily skin and can even help balance out your skin’s oil production It is the only plant oil that contains Retinol A, which means it’s a great anti-aging product (and basically nature’s …

Epic Beauty Bar Haul

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on the blog which is quite sad seeing as I have plenty of unfinished drafts in my queue, but I am trying to rededicate myself to blogging about all things beautiful! Somewhere along the trip back home my skin seems to have set up camp in struggle city and NYC’s humidity has become it’s silent but deadly killer. I’m talking breakouts and my knight in itchy armor, eczema. I’ve been doing loads of research on how to heal sensitive skin and see this as a wonderful opportunity  to fall in love with skincare all over again (and to release my inner product junkie). I’ve learned several things about my sensitive skin on this journey (did you know coconut oil isn’t for everyone?) and look forward to learning, and sharing, more. I’ll be testing out a new routine over the course of the next few weeks and will be sharing my tips on battling the humidity. Here’s a short haul on my purchases from Epic Beauty Bar. Stephanie and …

Acure Organics Day & Night Creams

Beauty Bolts: ϟϟϟ It’s the first day of June and summer is finally upon us! The sun is shining, birds are chirping, and the fresh scent of flowers flows through the air! With the change in season comes a change in skin care!… Actually, the products that I have been using since September finally ran out. It was definitely a sad moment when I pushed down on the pump of my Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Moisturizing Night Repair Cream and was met with an empty hand. ‘Twas disappointing, but we had a good run (I actually kept the empty bottle for a few weeks before finally throwing it out). I began hunting for the next product that I should try and stumbled upon Acure Organics. A few things that peeked my interest were the brands use of something they call a “curoxidant blend” (freeze dried and blended Acai, Pomegranate, Blackberry, Rosehips, and Rooibos), CGF (Chlorella Growth Factor), and plant stem cells. The natural beauty enthusiast in me got really excited by all of the natural goodies …

Aubrey Organics GPB Balancing Conditioner (Lavendar & Ylang Ylang)

Beauty Bolts: ϟϟϟϟϟ Let me start out by saying that this conditioner is absolutely fantastic! I used to use it a couple years ago (back when it only came in one scent). I loved the product, but I stopped using it after the first bottle ran out because it smelt soooo bad. After suffering some massive breakage, and hearing about the new scents, I decided to give it another go! Glycoprotein and Milk protein work to smooth and strengthen each strand of hair, while aloe replenishes moisture. I prefer to use the conditioner the night before I wash my hair, as a deep conditioner. When I get up, I finger detangle and then hop in the shower and wash my hair as per usual. I have a lot of hair, but it is very fine and usually gets tangled when I shampoo. My hair was pretty much tangle free while I washed my hair and I had very little post-wash breakage! My hair was left feeling soft, shiny, and smooth which is not a normal …
